Smith Pivlock V90 Max Sunglasses

If you're like me and you have super-sensitive eyes, you know how important eye coverage can be! Wind on my bike ride? Cold morning air? Dry summer heat? Dust? Rocks? Sun? All of the above?!

I've gone through so many pairs of glasses from cheaper interchangeable pairs to high end tinted pairs in the past year. I found a pair of these Smith Pivlock V90 Max interchangeable lens sunglasses on sale at one of the ODAT sites (Bonktown or Steep and Cheap) for a great price. I also separately bought a clear lens for morning and evening rides.

The sunglasses come in a spiffy over-sized case that holds all the lenses they didn't include (but that you will buy anyways). It takes a little finagling to change the lenses out and while at first I thought I was going to break the lens, I got the hang of it pretty quickly.

I've worn these glasses on bike rides, runs of all distance and in a race. I can honestly tell you that I love these glasses. They are so light that I forget they are on my face. My vision is unobstructed by the clean, unbroken one piece shield. The arms and nose piece are slightly adjustable, but mine were comfy right out of the box. The clear lens is just that - exceptionally clear, and provides the perfect barrier between me and the wind. The blue mirror lens allows in plenty of light to see by, but none of the painful brightness that you don't want. They are pretty large glasses, so if you tend to have a bigger face or like a larger lens, this is a good pick for you!

Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Clear one piece shield of view
  • No fogging
  • No pinching, slipping, hurting, pressure
  • Pretty good looking
Cons:
  • A little tricky and a little time consuming to change lenses
  • Not for small faces!!
Super nerd!
With blue mirror lenses in

*Disclaimer: I bought these with my own hard earned dollars and was not asked to review this product by the manufacturer.
